Help support cancer diagnosis
By DR JUSTIN YOPP, PhD. will lead a Lunch & Learh workshop Friday, at noon, March 26, at the Cancer Resource Center located on the second floor of the medical office building adjacent to The Outer Banks Hospital in Nags Head. A clinical assistant professor of psychiatry at the UNC School of Medicine and the UNC Comprehensive Cancer Support Program, Dr. Yopp will speak on “`Helping Family and Friends Support a Cancer Diagnosis.“ He will also provide a consultative clinic for patients needing personal or family support, and appointments will be available. For an appointment with him, call 449-9265. Yopp provides evaluation and psychotherapy for pediatric and adult cancer patients who are (or have been) treated at UNC. He also works with children whose parents have a cancer diagnosis andprovides neuropsychological testingfor pediatric oncology patients as well as participates in research initiatives.
