Triathlon set, Corolla

The Whalehead Club in Corolla is planning a pedal-foot-paddle triathlon Saturday, April 23, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

It will begin and end in Currituck Heritage Park. It starts with a 7-mile scenic cycle through Corolla, followed by a 2-mile run on the beach at low tide, wrapping up with a 1-mile kayak paddle on the Currituck Sound.

For the more leisure-minded, enjoy the Land and Light climb up the Currituck Beach Lighthouse, then stroll through the park, ending at the front porch of the Whalehead Club.
