Colington Rd. to close one night

The North Carolina Department of Transportation plans to replace existing drainage culverts (pipes) across SR 1217 (Colington Road) in Dare County. These culverts were damaged during the Hurricane. This work will require the closure of Colington Rd. (around the 1400 block) at night. The road will be closed to all traffic. There will be no detour.

The road closure will begin (weather permitting) on Sunday, January 22 at 6 p.m. and should reopen Monday, Jan. 23, at 6 a.m.
